The Travels of Stelian
About
A heartfelt gift story
Embrace the spirit of the Christmas season with this wonderful story about the joy of giving. Although written for children, it is cherished by adults as well because, yes, during Christmas, we all become children.
This is a classic tale, exquisitely illustrated like a small art gallery, which can be read and reread each year by children, parents, and grandparents from around the world, as its message is universal.
Stelian is a poor little boy who has never had a pair of boots. When Alma, a girl he befriends, gives him a pair, he is overwhelmed with joy and doesn’t know how to thank her. With Christmas approaching, he decides to give her a gift as well. Without much to offer, he sets out on a journey into the forest with his cat, Gil, in search of a special Christmas gift.
A long road full of adventures and surprises awaits him. He tries to befriend a rabbit, seeks a conversation with a woodpecker, or tries to approach a squirrel, but none of the forest creatures offer him help. Yet, the little boy remains determined until he returns home with wonderful gifts for his friend. His heart is so big that the love within conquers fear, and the joy of giving exceeds any sacrifice.
