About the Author

Mariana is a Romanian children’s author and award-winning screenwriter, with a background in law and pedagogy. She is best known for The Friendship Collection, which includes The Travels of Stelian, The Hedgehog’s Heart, Read & Tell with Filip, and the workshop project School of Joy — stories and activities that nurture kindness, emotional intelligence, and the joy of giving.

She grew up in a small Romanian village, surrounded by stories of resilience, hope, and quiet courage. Her family and community spoke about the Great Famine, the communist era, and the hardships of wartime — always with the belief that goodness endures. These early memories shaped her understanding that even in difficult times, light and kindness find their way through — a truth reflected in all her books.

Today, Mariana writes gentle, uplifting stories loved by parents, teachers, and grandparents for the way they speak to both heart and mind. Her books invite children to discover their inner strengths and become the heroes of their own journeys.

Despre autoare

 Mariana este autoare de cărți pentru copii și scenarist premiat, cu formare în drept și pedagogie. Este cunoscută pentru Colecția Prieteniei, care include Călătoria lui Stelian, Inima Ariciului, Citește și povestește cu Filip și proiectul de atelier Școala Bucuriei — povești și activități care cultivă bunătatea, inteligența emoțională și bucuria de a dărui.

A crescut într-un sat mic din România, înconjurată de povești despre curaj, speranță și reziliență. Familia și comunitatea ei vorbeau despre Marea Foamete, perioada comunistă și greutățile vremurilor de război, însă întotdeauna cu credința că binele învinge. Din aceste istorii a învățat că, și în momentele dificile, lumina și bunătatea își găsesc mereu drumul — un adevăr care se regăsește în toate cărțile ei.

Astăzi, Mariana scrie povești calde și sensibile, îndrăgite de părinți, educatori și bunici pentru felul în care ating atât inima, cât și mintea copiilor. Cărțile ei îi invită pe cei mici să-și descopere resursele interioare și să devină eroii propriilor povești.
